Research Analyst – Consumer Sector with Digital Marketing Focus

Key Roles & Responsibilities

The analyst will work side-by-side with teams of one of CRISIL clients, a Global Private Equity Firm in NY. The candidate will provide support to two different departments:

Consumer Sector Help Investment Professionals to identify and understand key investment areas within the Consumer and Retail sector by preparing industry overviews on sub-sectors/verticals, Build material to help the team prepare for meetings with prospect companies: company profiles, people profiles, etc., Support the team sourcing effort by building market maps and identifying potential prospect companies, Prepare Insight analysis on specific sectors and keep the teams up to date sharing relevant sector information , b uild newsletters

Digital Marketing captures interactions of customers through their digital journey from awareness to purchase to retention. Through marketing analytics tools (e.g., SimilarWeb, SEMRush, Google Trends, AppAnnie) pull, analyse and visualize data in order to create insights and presentations. Majority of analyses include usage of one single tool while some requires combination of data across different tools and subscription base sources. Example analysis include: trends (e.g., site traffic, app downloads), competitive positioning (e.g., SEO equity of a company versus its competitors), and digital traffic mix (e.g., direct, organic, paid traffic breakdown). Analyst will get guidance from the VP of Digital Marketing and will be provided with analysis templates

FUNCTIONAL & BEHAVIOURAL KNOWLEDGE

  • Fluency in English language (Mandatory)
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy (Key skill)
  • Excellent Word, Spreadsheet and PowerPoint skills
  • Knowledge of SimilarWeb, Google Trends or Google Adwords is a plus
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and handle large volumes of work
  • Interest in finance is an advantage
  • Willingness to stretch and work with global clients
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change

Able to work in a team setup – very important!

Minimum & Preferred Education

Bachelor Degree in Economics, Business Administration or other relative degrees

Minimum & Preferred Experience / Skills

entry position. Up to 2 years of work experience
