Morling College is currently recruiting for an Morling Online Administrator at our Macquarie Park campus. This position works collaboratively with the Morling Online team, assists with Moodle administration for all faculties, and provides basic Moodle support for students and faculty staff.

About Us :

Morling College is the Baptist Theological College of NSW and ACT. In 2021 it merged with Vose Seminary, the Baptist Theological College of WA, and thus operates across campuses in both states. It is a third-party provider of the Australian College of Theology for its theological awards. It is also a Registered Institute of Higher Education for postgraduate awards in Education and graduate and postgraduate awards in Counselling, Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care and Professional Supervision. These courses are all taught by Christians for Christians.

About the Role :

The Morling Online Administrator role requires an extremely high attention to detail, the ability to be self-directed and take initiative, displayed proficiency in administration, and great interpersonal and communication skills.

This part-time, permanent position is currently set at 20 hours per week (with hours preferably set during school hours and spread over 4-5 days each week), with the possibility of increased hours in the future. Actual on-campus attendance hours to be negotiated with the Director of Morling Online.

The remuneration for the role will be based on the Educational Services (Post-Secondary Education) Award classification General Staff, level 4.1. At present, Morling College pays 2.5% above the Award.

This is an exciting opportunity as our fast-growing Morling Online team is in development, presenting an additional opportunity to include a portfolio involving student support, CRM (i.e., Salesforce), and student communications. Key Responsibilities :

  • Moodle administration, including setting up subjects, arranging content, and enrolling students.
  • Curation and preparation of online study readings and resources.
  • Providing basic Moodle support (e.g., enquires) to students.
  • Other administrative support as required.
  • Participation in the life of the College.

Essential Key Attributes :

  • Experience in Moodle and online learning environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, G-Suite, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Demonstrated Christian character and active involvement in a local evangelical church.
  • Alignment of personal values, beliefs and practices with the mission and Christian ethos of Morling College.

  • Strong administrative skills and high attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work independently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service skills (including email, phone, and face to face communication skills).
  • Organised and able to prioritise tasks and manage long-term projects.

Desirable Attributes :

  • Experience with Photoshop, Turnitin, and Zoom.
  • Experience in Educational administration.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
