About the role

As the go-to Scheduler based in the Launceston branch, you’ll interact directly with customers and internal departments, to determine customer needs and ensure accurate supply of steel to each major project. Reinforcing Steel Schedulers support the supply of reinforcing steel to various Tier 2/3 projects across multiple segments of the construction industry.



Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate customer requirements in conjunction with internal departments
  • Generate bar bending lists by interpreting structural and architectural drawings
  • Partner with customers to ensure drawings and production schedule meet project timelines
  • Liaise with customers onsite to understand onsite requirements
  • Identify potential production or product solutions, and negotiate changes with customers to improve scheduling and production efficiencies

You will also have:

  • Reinforcing scheduling experience is viewed favourably
  • Experience using CAD based scheduling programs
  • Proven track record building positive stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to understand your customer needs and offer technical value-based solutions
  • Co-ordinate scheduling of multiple projects simultaneously
  • Qualifications in construction, structural / civil engineer or drafting is advantageous
