About the role

We are looking for a Project Services Coordinator to provide administrative support to the General Manager Projects and Leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic projects environment in a key administrative support role. You will work alongside a friendly and supportive team of administrative and business support professionals and provide input into continuous improvement initiatives. This role is part of an exciting central function, supporting a number of diverse projects across various product groups throughout the global Rio Tinto Project portfolio.

Reporting to the Supervisor Project Support and working in an exciting and collaborative team, within Rio Tinto Projects, you will:

  • Liaise and support Project Managers as required in relation to upcoming projects, both studies and execution projects
  • Involvement in business projects, eg BRT, Icare as required
  • Preparing, collating and coordinating presentation packs for major stakeholders and General Managers
  • Support to all EPCM/EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction Managers) Site administrators managing queries & distributing key communication points
  • Providing effective calendar and email management, coordinating travel, meeting agenda and events.
  • Assisting with all administrative matters pertaining to meetings, events or otherwise directed activities
  • Support the functional areas of RT Projects with general administration
  • Reconciliation and processing of expenses and purchase orders
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships through collaboration with the RT Projects team and EPCM/EPC

  • Experience supporting a General Manager or equivalent Senior Leader
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office
  • Excellent diary management prioritisation and effective time management skills
  • Excellent written communication skills and superior attention to detail
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset
