What's your mission?

Are you a fraud analytics expert? As a member of the ANZ Plus family, you will be playing a pivotal role in protecting our customers and the bank.

You will need to have demonstrated ability in owning, maintaining and uplifting detection strategies, monitoring their performance, communicating and providing input into controls uplift across card payments and digital transactions.

This is a hands-on role – it’s going to require strategic thinking, industry and competitor understanding and regulatory knowledge – with excellent internal stakeholder management and support, particularly with our operational and risk colleagues.

What could your day look like?

As a fraud analytics expert, you will be spending most of your day:

Analysing structured data from multiple sources to identify trends and areas the business is open to fraud
Developing fraud prevention and detection strategies for the business
Updating detection rulesets to prevent and limit fraud losses
Providing insightful reporting on fraud activity and prevention
Assisting in the development of chargeback and fraud strategies for the business.
What's in your toolkit?

You will have demonstrated ability in the following:
A proven track record in fraud prevention and detection in a financial services environment
Demonstrated experience with fraud detection technologies including VISA Risk Manager, ARCOT 3DS (or VCAS 3DS), Falcon or other fraud detection platforms such as SFM, PRM etc.
Must have a strong understanding of SQL
An inquiring mindset to probe, ask questions, investigate, and move through the process to resolution
Ability to speak up and work well with others
Ability to work independently with agility and make judgment calls in a fast-paced environment
Passionate about new technology and start-up business environments
Skills and deep knowledge of card transactions, chargeback rights, and VISA card schema
Understanding of internet and e-commerce transactions is highly desirable.
