Role Summary


The Specialist will be responsible for serving as the Lead Client Service Delivery Business Analyst on client projects. You will assist in managing complex new/existing business implementations for clients as well as be responsible for migration of client to Northern Trust (NT) Derivatives platforms. The overall implementation includes but not limited to communication, development, testing, documentation & setting up file transmissions or file transfers with client.

This role will be supporting the business around data quality and testing with an approach that requires a technical understanding to support the end to end testing function.

The expectation is that you will be a seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and/or business knowledge and functional expertise.

We are open to both Melbourne or Sydney location for this role.


What you will do


  • Maintain documentation of key systems and conceptual data architecture and data models.
  • Maintaining understanding of the key products and services within the Derivative portfolios.
  • Maintaining understanding of the key business processes and events within the major lines of business.
  • Working with IT and the business in managing the overall derivative data lifecycle.
  • Working with agile teams to recommend a best approach with regard to Data development, data quality and data distribution.
  • Identifying and maintaining documentation for the functional and technical data quality standards and rules.
  • Identifying data quality issues; data remediation processes and exception handling procedures.

About You


  • Experience with Client functional testing and proven ability to be able to work with files and datasets to source your data independently.
  • Experience using Data Quality tools and a desire to closely partner with IT teams
  • Desire to be part of a Global data team supporting Operations, Tech and Client
  • Understanding of derivative products including ETD, OTC Regulatory reporting and Collateral.
  • Understanding of data management
  • Strong desire to work in an environment that is business focused but technical in nature.
  • Communicates effectively and persuasively and exercises diplomacy with team members and colleagues across the lines of business.
  • Excels in a fast-paced, highly flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Good understanding of Derivatives terminology and basic data management concepts.

Good to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience working with IT query tools (SQL).
