Swinburne Student Life have an opening for an Advocacy Officer to join their team!

Reporting to the Senior Advocacy Officer, the Advocacy Officer will support the achievement of Swinburne Student Life’s values, mission, and goals. The Advocacy Officer will play an integral role in the delivery of quality customer service to students and Student Life outcomes, conducting all administrative and operational aspects of the Advocacy service. Organisational knowledge, judgement, independence, and policy interpretation are important aspects of the role.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated relevant experience in advocacy and/or the interpretation and implementation of policy, procedure and regulation
  • Demonstrated ability and capacity to contribute to the development of a positive and co-operative team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service, to implement new initiatives and take an innovative approach to customer service and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated experience in assisting a culturally diverse client base in high stress and high pressure situations

Qualifications
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
