The Role
This position is part of an administration team in a mixed workforce of APS and Military employees in support the Head of Navy Engineer and their broader organisation. The successful applicant will undertake a number of key administrative duties in a reactive work environment including but not limited to, drafting of corporate documents and messages, divisional report management and innovation, workforce and personnel support, event organisation, broader general administration. The team offers flexible working arrangements, training and development opportunities.

In this role you will:

  • Adapt to support Divisional priorities in a reactive workplace.
  • Build and maintain collaborative and productive relationships and work in partnership across Defence to ensure Branch outcomes are met.
  • Prepare and analyse information, data, reports and provide advice and guidance to varied audiences.
  • Model ethical behaviours to support your Branch including Australian Public Sector (APS) and Defence Values to encourage a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

About our Team
The Enabling Services team in Navy Engineering Division is looking for a high performing, experienced Administrator to be a part of their small but dynamic team. The team is responsible for supporting a range of initiatives and draws together information across the Navy Engineering Division to deliver a range of corporate outcomes.

Specifically the team provides direct support to the Head Navy Engineer on workforce matters, recruitment, information forum coordination, communication and accommodation. It also undertakes the role of the Head Resident Unit for Navy personnel within Campbell Park and the Accommodation Manager for Navy Engineering.
