Primary Details Time Type: Full time Worker Type: Employee Business Risk Manager Locations: Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth Full time Permanent Opportunity The opportunity In this role as the Business Risk Manager you will support the Head of Risk, Compliance and Governance to provide guidance to the operational teams within our Business department. You will assist the teams to make sure risks are managed, the control environment remains strong and our compliance obligations are being met. This includes both working closely with the team, and engaging other stakeholders across AUSPAC. Your new role You will complete a variety of tasks in this role including but not limited to:

  • Working closely with differing levels of stakeholders across the Business unit to support risk, compliance and governance needs.
  • Applying initiative and judgement when providing technical risk guidance on best courses of action and mitigation strategies.
  • Undertaking reviews of risks, controls or processes to ensure the quality and accuracy of the control environment across Business.
  • Working on initiatives to uplift risk maturity across the Business division and work towards our strategic objectives.
  • Supporting our Modernisation journey from a risk perspective to ensure that changes to our control environment are managed properly.
About you To be successful in this role within QBE, you will have:
  • Extensive experience in a risk, compliance or audit role.
  • Strong understanding, working knowledge and experience within general insurance, particularly intermediated insurance.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with all levels of QBE and external contacts.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Risk or similar.
  • Experience in data analytics and PowerBI (desirable).
