The Australian Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity

and the National Anti-Corruption Commission

The Australian Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity (ACLEI) is an independent agency within the Attorney-General’s Portfolio, established under the Law Enforcement Integrity Commissioner Act 2006 (LEIC Act). ACLEI supports the Integrity Commissioner in carrying out their responsibilities for detecting, investigating and preventing corrupt conduct in Australian Government agencies with law enforcement functions.

On 30 November 2022, the National Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2022 and National Anti-Corruption Commission (Consequential and Transitional Provisions) Act 2022 were passed by the Australian Parliament.

The legislation provides for the establishment of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) and the transitional arrangements for ACLEI to be subsumed into the NACC.

The NACC will have broad jurisdiction to investigate public sector corruption and will have prevention and education functions to improve anti-corruption efforts in the Commonwealth public sector. It will commence operations mid-2023.

Working with us

As we transition to the NACC, we seek the very best. Attracting and supporting clever, innovative and committed people is essential to ensure both ACLEI and the NACC are well placed to undertake their important work. We work in a complex and dynamic setting where exceptional judgement and an ability to achieve results are critical.

This is an exciting time to join our agency, and we are looking for outstanding individuals to help shape the agency during our transformation by supporting innovation, and working together to establish new systems and processes.

Providing a supportive and inclusive workplace for our staff is fundamental to our success. A key focus of ACLEI’s leadership culture is our understanding of, and commitment to, creating a diverse and inclusive environment to bring out the best in our people.

Successful candidates will have the ability to lead, manage, cooperate and perform successfully across a wide range of corporate and operational functions to support us in the transformation from ACLEI to the NACC.
