Functieomschrijving Futureproofed part of Sweco, a Leuven-based sustainability consulting firm, is seeking a Junior Consultant to join the team. As part of the Sweco family, we believe that transitioning to a sustainable, fossil-free future presents a unique opportunity for businesses and cities.
We offer a range of services to help our clients grasp this opportunity, including measuring their impact, developing a future-proof business strategy, and telling their story. Our recently launched SaaS tool assists companies in measuring, managing, and reducing their carbon emissions.
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about software solutions for real-world problems and has an interest in climate change, carbon impact, and carbon reduction. You should be solution-oriented, able to work independently, and have excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining the knowledge base for the Futureproofed platform, including technical advice and legislation related to carbon accounting and reporting.
• Offering guidance to clients on carbon impact assessment using the Futureproofed platform.
• Being the first point of contact for Futureproofed users and assisting with technical issues.
• Setting up and managing customer accounts.
• Identifying new leads, conducting sales meetings, and writing proposals.
• Analyzing customer challenges and reporting to clients.
• Completing projects within deadlines, budget, and planning.
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Staying up-to-date with sustainability knowledge.

• Passion for addressing climate change and interest in the opportunities it presents for businesses.
• Knowledge of climate change, carbon footprint, and sustainable business models.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets (skill test will be conducted during the application process).
• Ability to write structured reports and make presentations.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-oriented approach.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to learn and grow.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Outspoken and able to work effectively in a small team.
