HSE Process Assurance Manager

Description

Take on a pioneering role as we develop our New Power technologies enabling our customers to have vehicles that achieve our zero carbon goals. In this newly created position, you will support the development of our risk mitigation approach for servicing activities on hydrogen, battery or electrolyzer products. With a focus on high-risk outcomes, you will play a key part in evolving our processes and systems to assure our customers and field service engineers that they can maintain our products for years to come.

This role is based in Rumst (Belgium), it will also involve regular travel to our client sites across Europe.

Your tasks

• Focusing on Critical Risk Management Programmes across Hydrogen Safety, Battery Safety and Electrical Safety you will be creating, implementing, and managing complex health, safety and environmental programs in collaboration with cross functional teams across the Cummins European.
• Partnering with end customers / stakeholders to identify suitable processes, drive alignment, consistency and innovative solutions across customer applications and field service operations.
• Manage our HSE Programs for hydrogen, battery, and electrical safety for generator applications.
• Working closely with our distribution and plant manufacturing groups, to help design safe engineering controls for critical risk hazards and products within our service scope.
• Providing direction and guidance for the safe installation, service and repair of Cummins Products, by engaging cross functionally with key stakeholders
• Positively Influencing the Health, Safety and Environmental Culture
• Practical application of OHSE and compliance standards.

Qualifications

Your Profile

Passionate about your work, adept at communicating constructive challenge to achieve a new level of awareness and change within the area of hazardous gases and high-risk events. With experience in either an engineering, HSE or project-based role you will enjoy working within a highly collaborative environment along with:

• Being an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Manager with process safety knowledge and experience.
• Having a relevant college, university, or equivalent degree – in either Health, Safety, Environmental, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• Ideally having a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent level 6 Health and Safety Qualification, but not essential.
• Knowledge and experience of operations covering pressurised systems, ATEX, DSEAR, flammable gases, chemicals - ideally in a field service environment.
• Experience participating in and has experience of the techniques used for risk management/process safety –e.g. HAZIDs, HAZOPS, PHA’s etc.
• Experience of working / leading cross functional teams to develop and deliver risk management programs.
• Demonstrating the ability to influence the Health, Safety and Environmental Culture.
