Job Description

The ERP Functional Analyst is a full time regular employee that reports to the Senior Manager, IT and solves organizational information problems and requirements by analyzing data, assessing requirements; designing business processes; recommending system controls and protocols. The incumbent will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth movement of materials through the procurement and distribution cycle to meet inventory requirements.

Complementary Description

Responsibilities:
• Analyse and summarize as-is material flow within the ERP system
• Analyse and summarize as-is WIP flow within the ERP system
• Analyse cost allocation during material transactions
• Analyse BOM and material utilization for all active product lines (BOM by BOM)
• Analyse and summarize as-is PO suggestion process
• Collects and organizes inputs from sales and material management teams to generate consensus procurement plan and PO suggestion process to meet the volume and financial growth targets of the organization. In the process, evaluates quality and validity of cross-functional inputs in the forecasting process to ensure continuous improvement in the purchasing plan accuracy, cycle over cycle.
• Investigate impact on PO suggestion report/ purchasing plan, with Min/Max and safety defined (BOM by BOM)
• Investigate impact on PO suggestion report/ purchasing plan, with changing lead times (BOM by BOM, take into account supplier OTD track record)
• Run tests in ERP to define impact of each parameter change
• Define full MRP parameters in ERP starting with resources, calendars, machines etc.
• Run tests in ERP to define impact of each change
• Investigate and optimize standard labour hours in ERP system for each job step (BOM by BOM)
• Propose updated MRP process and run full cycle tests in ERP system and develop procurement plans using the MRP system to align with sales and inventory budgets while continuously improving the supply chain manage

Job Requirements

Skills/Qualifications:

• 5-10 years experience with ERP material & production planning in a manufacturing environment, preferably Epicor environments
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical and communication skills
• Knowledge of MRPII, material and production planning practices on the floor and within ERP system
• Background in manufacturing operations
• SQL programming and Power BI report development experience
• Advanced skills in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Complex formulas, Macros development)
• Working knowledge of inventory ordering control systems and supply chain management
• Ability to analyze data and identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Familiarity with Engineering Change Notices, Bill of Materials, Purchase Orders, Customer Orders, Physical Inventory, Inventory Analysis, Order Releases, Backorders, Forecasting, and Work-in-Progress processes
• Knowledge of material planning topics like bullwhip effect, statistical analysis, process model definition, product portfolio management
• Comfortable creating Power Point presentations and presenting findings to stakeholders
• At least a bachelor's degree in a related field
• Proactive and hands-on mentality with a solution-oriented mindset
• Fluent in English
