Scheduling Service Engineering Director

UKG Technology, Operations, Products & Support group (TOPS) has an exciting opening for a Director, Software Engineering, focusing on our Pro Suite Scheduling service. The successful candidate can lead cross-geography teams through their engaging leadership style, collaboration, influence, and expertise to deliver quality software in a fast-past and highly technical environment. The Director is a key player for the Scheduling service and has a sharp focus on efficiently developing solutions that meet UKG business needs while developing and caring for our talent along the way. The candidate is agile and can adapt quickly and effectively to changing priorities while partnering positively with the Architecture, Product Management, Support, Service, and Cloud organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional, cross-geography teams to deliver enterprise workforce management SaaS solutions to market.
• Own the program execution of the software from product definition through successful release, deployment, and continued support.
• Aim to deliver a positive experience for our customers by understanding their business needs and expectations. Ability to identify what needs to be done to deliver innovative solutions that exceed stakeholder expectations.
• Lead and reinforce company values and culture in day-to-day behaviors, management style, and expectations of employees. Inspire the teams by empowering them to own their actions and results.
• Strong interest in managing, mentoring, and motivating senior and junior software engineers.
• Push boundaries and innovate to positively impact resources, quality, schedule, or budget.
• Manage a regular process for continuous improvement.
• Ability to collaborate across functional boundaries and with global teams.
• Live up to commitments to our customers and peers by owning plans and processes to drive engineering programs.
• Master engineering foundations by a demonstrated understanding of product design, life cycle, software development practices, and support services

Basic qualifications:
• 10+ years of Experience in Software Development and leading/managing teams.
• Experience working with development teams in an Agile/Scaled-Agile environment.
• Experience with managing contractor teams.
• Experience of web application design and familiarity with technologies such as Java, Spring, Hibernate, and Angular
• Experience managing teams in a SaaS enterprise product in AWS, Google, or Azure
• A management style that is compatible and complimentary with the UKG values and behaviors: inclusive, collaborative, trusting, caring, agile and accountable

• Strong and dynamic communicator, able to influence teams and departments across geographies.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or equivalent related experience
