Our client in the Waterloo region has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a Vice President of Operations to join their growing team As the Vice President of Operations, you will be a key leader responsible for overseeing the seamless execution of Civil Infrastructure projects. With a focus on managing a dynamic team of 50+ staff, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, ensuring project delivery on time and within budget, and fostering a culture of safety, quality, and innovation.

Responsibilities
-Provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure the effective and efficient operation of Civil Infrastructure projects
-Collaborate with other divisions within company to optimize resources and enhance overall project delivery
-Implement strategies to enhance project efficiency, quality, and profitability
-Lead and manage a diverse team of 50+ staff
-Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of Civil projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, regulations, and industry best practices
-Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction
-Collaborate with the business development team to identify and pursue new opportunities for growth
-Monitor and enforce compliance with relevant municipal, provincial, and federal regulations
-Provide Estimation and Project Management assistance on a needs basis

Qualifications
-10+ years minimum experience in a leadership role in Civil Construction, preferably within Water & Sewer / Municipal
-Bachelorâs degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field P.Eng is considered an asset but not required. CETâs will also be considered
-Strong knowledge of industry regulations, construction methodologies, and best practices
-Strong knowledge of infrastructure such as: Infrastructures, dams, stormwater management, ponds, in-water work, and grading
-Strong knowledge of financial management
-Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
-Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment
