The Electric Vehicles Test business segment of the Automotive and Energy Solutions Group, develops and delivers test solutions to enable customers to bring their breakthrough energy and electric powertrain innovations to market faster and safer.
The Early Technology Investigation ETI team within AES EV is providing preliminary investigation of new hardware and software technologies, creates models, evaluates new algorithms and methodologies, and explores new applications for the corresponding product portfolio, by closely working with the product planning team and the R&D team. We are seeking an energetic, results oriented and technology driven R&D engineer to strengthen the ETI team.
What are you going to do
Close collaboration with the portfolio planning and the R&D teams
Research and investigation of new hardware and software technologies creating corresponding models and prototypes
Design and implementation of models, algorithms and scripts need for the evaluation
Performing experiments and measurements to verify hypothesis and refine models
Analysis, evaluation, documentation, and presentation of the results
Who are we looking for
The ideal candidate will bring the following:
- Excellent knowledge in modeling, simulation experience with Matlab Simulink
- Programming skills and experience in embedded programming, C, C++ or Python
- Very good understanding of electrotechnics and power electronics
- Skilled in working with power instruments and measurement equipment
- Solid team player working closely with EV industry solution architects and R&D team
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- Good knowledge in control systems analysis and design is an advantage
- Good technical writing skills
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering, automation or information technology or comparable with 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in German and English language
