As a Barclays Team Assistant, you will be interacting with senior Risk leadership and colleagues in relation to the scheduling of meetings and events, as well as for team administration queries and activities in various locations. Collaborating with peers and sharing knowledge/adopting best practice processes, and with the wider Risk Services transaction cycle. You will handle management on their tasks and help achieve goals with a broad reach and interaction across various countries.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

What will you be doing?
• Providing high quality secretarial and administrative support to the International Corporate Banking Teams in Germany and relevant countries in Europe
  • Co-ordinating closely with Personal and Executive Assistants across Corporate & Investment Banking in Europe to ensure efficient cooperation between the teams
  • Providing extensive and complex diary management, ensuring balance between workflow and meetings is achieved
  • Collating and circulating meeting papers; research background information, as required; and ensure that the Managers are always in the correct place at the right time with relevant papers
  • Receiving incoming mail and allocate items with backup papers as required, respond to active requests, and send emails on behalf of the Managers as required and settled
  • Arranging domestic and international travel for the Managers and aid agendas for visits for senior delegates to the Benelux countries
  • Handling with recruitment and keeping the Organisational Management tool up to date, raising and approving IT Requests, Purchase Orders, Invoices, and expenses in a timely fashion
  • Working with Expense, Gift & Entertainment Submissions and Maintaining a suitable active process for keeping records


What we’re looking for:
• Action oriented and organized with the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously and prioritize accordingly and experienced in preparing agendas, correspondence, and presentations
  • Relevant experience as a senior level personal and/or team assistant, ideally with a Banking/financial background and self-motivated, able to work on your own initiative
  • A logical and structured approach to achieving desired outcomes along with excellent written and oral communication in English and fluency in German highly valued
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft Office Tools including Outlook/Teams/Excel/PowerPoint and working on Travel, Expenses, Cross Border, HR tools etc
