Your New Role...

We’re looking for a Business Contract Coordinator to be based in our Cologne office, to join our legal business department. You will assist two lawyers, and provide administration as part of your role. You will also play a key role in managing projects, such as compliance processes, pension fund issues, compliance projects and outside counsel issues. We’re looking for someone who has an interest in German legal issues, and have had experience within the media legal field.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Manages the contract coordination from point of distribution to coordination of signatures and deposition

  • Controls tracking of contracts

  • Responsible for uploading contract templates in database

  • First point of contact to coordinate and, ideally, answers questions about contract templates

  • Assist in revising contract templates and adapting to specific formats

  • First point of contact and liaises between Attorneys, scripted and production departments for all contract needs

  • Prepares reports on external legal costs and litigation

  • Assist with compliance processes

  • Reviews external counsel invoices against agreed terms, billed hours, etc

  • Provides administrative support to legal team with scheduling, travel arrangements, expense reporting, and other duties as needed

Qualifications & Experience...

  • Experience within an administration position or relevant legal position

  • Media legal knowledge

  • Strong MS Suite skills

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Independent worker

  • German and English written and spoken language skills

  • Team player/ strong communicator
