CFP1.2 - Consultant Corporate Performance (m/f/d)*


Corporate Finance and Performance (CFP) - recently created from the merger of several central functions - is responsible for (i) Financial Planning, Forecasting, Performance and Investment Controlling and consistent group wide Steering, (ii) Treasury and M&A and (iii) Company Valuation and Digital Finance Transformation at group level. As a result, CFP is closely aligned with business fields, group functions and numerous central units and thus enables excellent personal and professional development opportunities. We are looking for a qualified new team member for the Corporate Performance department with primary responsibility for business field controlling and IFRS forecast.


Your Job

  • Analysing and assessing the business performance of the business fields (reinsurance and ERGO) and GIM and corresponding initiatives in management and legal view
  • Contributing to the Group annual planning and the intra-year IFRS forecast processes by setting impulses to achieve the Group ambition
  • Analysing and assessing regulatory changes (IFRS 9/17) on our KPIs, steering metrics and capitalisation
  • Preparing controlling recommendations to the Group Committee and monitoring of business cases in close cooperation with the Group CFO to address cross-business-field issues in context of economic, risk and accounting perspectives
  • Supporting quarterly joint CFO assessment of the Ambition 2025 target achievement in close alignment with the business fields, including forecast versus plan
  • Developing and implementing of digital solutions for controlling processes and analyses in collaboration with CFP1.3 “Digital Finance and Valuation”
  • Preparing presentations and ad-hoc analyses and supporting projects of high importance requested by management
  • Participating in the further enhancement of processes and principles of the CFP division


Your Profile

  • University degree with above-average classification in an economics/mathematical discipline
  • Several years of professional experience with processes and topics related to annual planning, reporting, renewal and monitoring on segment level, capital management and related steering-relevant questions
  • Good knowledge of management systems (steering metrics) in use at Munich Re and knowledge of insurance accounting (IFRS 9/17; HGB and Solvency II) and corporate valuation would be advantageous
  • Ability to think analytical, conceptual, cross-linked and to innovatively develop and implement solutions outside the box
  • High level of commitment and initiative, independent and proactive working style
  • A confident manner, communication talent and very good team skills
  • You are comfortable working collaboratively and effectively in dynamic interdisciplinary and inter-divisional teams – often virtual and agile
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English
