Account Manager

The Manager - Account Management is a key role in the German market & our Sales Organization as we continue to build on our success in the local markets. In this role you will be responsible for our overall relationship with our customers.

Role
  • You will be responsible for further develop our success within the savings banks organization by developing the relationship and sell the wide range of products and services provided by Mastercard
  • You are expected to develop, implement, and own the customer strategy that would enhance customer profitability, competitive leverage and deliver on the targeted business goals
  • Your primary focus will be to develop, accelerate and grow the partnership with our customers
  • Identify new Business opportunities in the savings banks organization to focus on the corporate agenda. Push digitization with the savings banks organization in Germany. Optimize existing Business & Bundle our full repertoire of Products, Services & Assets to the client needs.
  • You are expected to build, manage, and develop the business relationship with the entire organization of the customer
Accountabilities
  • Support the annual and long-term planning cycle / process
  • Contribute to the development and where appropriate own customer growth strategies that proactively develop their payment business.
  • Successfully manage the financial performance by ensuring that all target metrics are met.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between Mastercard and the customer by ensuring strategic alignment and maximum mutual success in achieving goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Develop as well as manage relationships between internal Mastercard partners including business development, marketing, commerce development, customer delivery, product, Advisors, legal, compliance, security, etc. to ensure cross-functional alignment and correct support for the customer.
Experience, Skills & Education
  • Demonstrated success in customer/sales roles, with specific and demonstrable experience in sales/negotiations/contract management
  • Demonstrated revenue management and P&L experience
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic capabilities
  • Superior interpersonal, communications and especially sales skills
  • Self-starter, independent operator and highly proactive
  • Industry commercial card expertise, sales management, development, and execution experience
  • Experience in identifying strategic opportunities and of managing multiple stakeholder projects

Responsible for setting sales strategies as it relates to customer accounts that are aligned with geography strategy and achieving sales goals that drive market share, volume, and revenue growth. Leads and manages existing customer relationships and works to identify opportunities and customer needs. Partners with customers to deliver customized solutions and comprehensive consulting support. Responsible for pipeline management at the account level.
