Job Description:
Intel has announced a major expansion of Intel's production capacities in Europe and plans to develop two first-of-their-kind semiconductor fabs in Magdeburg, Germany, the capital of Saxony-Anhalt. A State Aid Approval procedure for the project is currently pending with the European Commission. According to current planning production at the site is expected to start in four to five years following the European Commission's approval.

We are looking for several senior Process and Equipment Engineering Department Manager for the following departments: Metal, Diffusion, Epi/Implant, Thin Film, Wet-Etch, Dry, Etch or Planar.

You will be responsible for managing an organization consisting of Group Leaders, Engineers, and Technicians working on leading edge manufacturing and technology development.

Managing your team, you will drive Intel culture within your organization. This includes creating a safe and fair work environment for all employees, hiring and training, individual and team development as well as driving a spirit that enables world class results through an inclusive organization.

You will be hired into Intel Magdeburg GmbH, spending your training period as a relocation assignment in Ireland and return to Magdeburg as a final placement.

Your responsibilities will include:

Ensure safe work environment for our internal employees and external partners.

Build and manage your team employing Intel values as a role model creating a motivating work environment as a basis to achieve outstanding results.

Ensure factory capacity ramp according to committed timeline and cost through collaboratively working across organisations.

Consistently achieve factory performance goals in high volume manufacturing.

Drive continuous improvement activities to best in class manufacturing performance (safety, cost, quality, on time delivery...).

Support and drive development programs.

Managing the financial budget of your team.

Qualifications:
Semiconductor manufacturing, fab ramp and technology transfer experience preferable in a large-scale organization.

Exceptional people manager demonstrated organizational leadership in achieving results through people, centered around inclusion and leveraging diversity.

Capable of inspiring, leading and motivating a diverse workforce with a high sense of urgency.

Excellent project management skills across departments and sites.

Experienced in managing external partners.

Fluency in English and in German.

Candidates should have a BSc, MSc or PhD in Engineering or Science. (e.g. physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, material science, industrial engineering, data science and/or another engineering/science-related field)

This is an onsite position at our campus in Magdeburg, Germany and relocation assistance will be provided. Training assignments may be required at other domestic or international locations.
