Summary:

The work schedule for this position is:


  • Part Time (20 hours per week)(As the position is Part-Time, the final salary determination will be half of a Full-Time salary - see Full-Time salary listed above).


Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (4 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Supervisory Position: No Relocation Expenses Reimbursed: No Duties

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA) in this position is responsible for providing a full range of primary care, preventative, occupational health and emergency medical services for the U.S. Embassy's official community. Services will be provided through direct patient evaluation, examination, and treatment. The NP/PA is responsible for determining when hospitalization /medical evacuation is required and arranging all appropriate aspects of patient care. They are expected to participate in the regular call schedule as well as provide after-hours medical consultations, referrals, and provide medical supervision of the Medical Unit staff in the absence of the MP/RMO.


Qualifications and Evaluations Requirements:

EXPERIENCE


  • Physician Assistant: A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in a primary or urgent care setting with at least 50% of their time spent in clinical care situations is required.


(Please note that one credited year of working experience is equal to 40 hours/week x 52 weeks or 2080 hours.)

Education Requirements:
  • Physician Assistant: Must have completed a Bachelor level Physician Assistant program and must hold and maintain a valid licensure and current certification(s) in the respective curriculum within the host country, country of citizenship, or the U.S.

    (for non-US educational certificate/degree, please also provide US education equivalency certification/transcript)


Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Fluent Reading/Writing/Speaking English language is required. This may be tested.
