Job Description
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute category strategies for the Food segment in alignment with overall company objectives.Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks within the Food category.Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure optimal terms and conditions.Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and procurement teams to drive category growth and profitability.Monitor and analyze sales performance, pricing, and assortment to make data-driven decisions.Stay updated on industry developments, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to maintain a competitive edge.Lead promotional activities, seasonal campaigns, and product launches to drive customer engagement and sales.Implement effective inventory management strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards within the Food category.The Successful Applicant
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in category management within the retail or FMCG industry.Proven track record of successfully managing the Food category, preferably within the modern channel (e.g., supermarkets, hypermarkets, convenience stores).Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.What's on Offer
