Job Description
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans for Cable Lay Vessel construction, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Ensure adherence to project timelines and milestones.Work closely with the engineering team to review designs, specifications, and technical documentation. Provide guidance and expertise on cable lay vessel construction techniques and standards.Coordinate with procurement and supply chain departments to source materials, equipment, and services required for the project. Ensure timely delivery of all components and compliance with project specifications.Manage contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors involved in the project. Monitor performance, resolve disputes, and ensure contractual obligations are met.Implement quality control measures to ensure that all work meets regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer expectations. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any issues.Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and delays. Proactively address issues as they arise to keep the project on track.Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and external partners. Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and any changes to scope or requirements.Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship throughout the project. Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
The Successful Applicant
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, or other related fieldProven experience managing complex shipbuilding projects, with portfolio in Cable Lay Vessels.In-depth knowledge of ship design, construction, and classification society rules and regulations.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in project management tools and software.Experience working in a shipyard or maritime industry environment is highly desirable.Fluency in EnglishWilling to be placed in Batam
