Senior Project Buyer - Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, MX
Our world-class client is looking for a Senior New Project Buyer in Cd. Juarez, Chih. This person will oversee integrating the best suppliers into our developments so that, through better design, QCD objectives can be met, in line with the project schedule.
Will also represent the Purchasing Department in the project teams, make decisions and coordinate all departmental activities related to the project teams.
Our client will only accept MX payroll and will give preference to local candidates.
Key Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Purchasing or Engineering (with purchasing experience)
5 + years of experience in Purchasing, R&D, Industrialization, Quality, Sales, or Project function
Automotive Industry experience
Knowledge of purchasing department operations
The project team and project organization
Certifications : APQP
Training or experience in Automotive New Project phases
Demonstrated Competencies :

Primarily Job Responsibilities :
Helps the project team define the company's requirements : QCD objectives, expression in functional specifications, and schedules.
Based on your knowledge of family purchasing strategies, you challenge to make or buy choices, ensure that technological choices will not lock in the choice of suppliers, & challenges the breakdown of the final product into different components / functions.
Ensures that component standards are complied with.
Ensures that the right conditions exist so that the best suppliers can propose the best QCD solutions.
Conducts consultations with the supplier base and any other potential suppliers.
Participates in the selection of suppliers, in close collaboration with the family buyers.
Uses functional specifications as a basis of consultation and makes sure that suppliers' ideas are considered.
Integrates suppliers early and gives them access to the project platform.
Initiates, when necessary, value analyses to meet target costs.
Facilitates communication between suppliers and the various project team members.
Manages the state of progress of suppliers' projects and validates the key stages.
Formalizes the requirement files (NRF) with the supplier.
Checks that suppliers' schedules are consistent with the project schedule and make sure they are complied with.
Formalizes, with the PQA specialists and suppliers, the scheduling of PQA stages and checks that they are performed correctly.
Organizes end-of-phase reviews at the supplier and participates in them with the PQA specialists.
Draws up the QCD indicators and monitors their evolution.
Ensures that supplier projects comply with company procedures.
Provides feedback from the purchasing department and remains in coordination with the relevant family buyers and PQA specialists.
Ensure the Supplier Quality Manual is agreed upon by the supplier.
Be in line with the safety and environmental policy, as well as the environmental issues, objectives, and goals that are directly involved in the position.
