Overview

Opportunity in Plant South

QUALITY ENGINEER Ensures that the product meets the established specifications by implementing controls, tests, inspections, audits, analysis, improvements, and corrective and preventive actions.

Responsibilities

  • Follow-up to the FPY (First Pass Yield) and TPY (throughput yield) of the production lines in the fulfillment of the established goals.
  • Implements and ensures the correct functioning of quality controls such as inspections, SPC, quality criteria, tests, quality alerts, process / product audits, line stoppages, etc.

including the corresponding documentation and training.

Conducts rejection analysis, test results, Pareto analysis, trends, etc., to identify the causes and ensures to follow up with responsible partners, (Production, ME, SE, ATE, SQE, etc.

opportunities for improvement in terms of FPY, TPY and / or Scrap that is out of goal.

Identifies opportunities for improvement and carries out improvement plans, preventive and corrective actions, using the 8D methodology, and the ETQ system for documentation.

Answer and follow up on customer complaints in QCR's, QPR's, etc.

  • Communicate in a timely manner the quality levels of its products, as well as the opportunities for improvement and actions taken to the production partners and the support departments and managers involved.
  • Efficiently utilizes the use of inspection, measurement and testing equipment, including Close Talk, Sound Room, Vibration Testing, Pressure Gauges, Tuning, Functional Testing, Microscope, Vernier, Micrometer, Smartscope, etc.

and performs correlations when necessary.

  • Validates and controls non-conforming material, conducts stockchecks; generates and tracks QN's, provides criteria for sort and rework, and validates the material.
  • Collaborates with the calibration, verification and preventive maintenance program; also with document control.
  • Participate in the execution of selected batches and in the introduction of new products fulfilling the established roles.
  • Supervises and assists the Quality Auditor.

Qualifications

  • University degree completed : Electronic, Electrical, Industrial and Systems Engineering or similar.
  • 1 5 years of experience as a quality engineer in manufacturing areas
  • English 80% or more
  • MS Office advanced level
  • Minitab intermediate level
  • Advanced level metrology
  • Management of multiple projects.
  • Green Belt in Six Sigma methodology.
  • Excellent ability to communicate and for interpersonal relationships, self-motivated, ability to work in a team and focused on results.
