Job Description
Incoming
1. To conduct inspection / testing in ensuring incoming materials meeting specification.
2. To perform evaluation, measurement and qualification of new material according to the specification requirement.
3. To perform inspection on the in process and outgoing product.
4. To issue Quality Notification if any non-conformity found and escalate to superior for any unresolved quality issues.
5. To perform line process audit and report to superior on any deviation.
6. To ensure all measuring equipment are calibrated before use.
7. To perform root cause analysis for tool quality issues.
8. To perform trouble shooting for electronic failure parts.
9. To perform measurement for mechanical failure parts.
10. To prepare, operate and maintain laboratory equipment for measurement, testing and trouble shooting.
11. Supervise the practical test centre and conduct safety briefing for new practical test workers.
12. Responsible for capacity planning of practical test, ensure all practical material fulfil test plan specification.
13. Assist test engineer in improving of practical test method and facility.
14. Verification on line part reject to confirm it is supplier related issue for final disposition.
15. Coordinate evaluation run for improvement part.
16. Perform periodic process audit according to the line process audit checklist.
17. Handle plant equipment calibration management system.
Practical Test
1 Responsible to ensure all equipment used in practical test center in good working condition.
2 Responsible to arrange daily planned job to test worker.
3 Responsible to brief test worker on any newly introduced test item or test method.
4 Responsible to prepare Test Material, Test Data Recording Sheet for each test.
5 Responsible to ensure practical test material fulfill test plan specification and control the usage.
6 Responsible to perform audit at practical test and feedback any finding to superior promptly.
7 Responsible to perform product function check, internal inspection after test.
8 Responsible to take test sample nominal data measurement before and after test.
9 To assist test requestor in analyzing practical test result. E.g. Failure defect cause & etc
10 To generate and publish test report after completion of the test.
11 Responsible to coordinate the practical waste with relevant department.
12 Responsible for 7S Housekeeping of QMM Practical Test Center area and office.
13 Follow escalation plan for any unresolved quality issues.
14 Specific task assigned by the superior, as and when necessary, to meet target or deadline.
PQE
1. To escalate to superior if any non-conformity found and any unresolved quality issues.
2. To perform line process audit and report to superior on any deviation.
3. To ensure all measuring equipment are calibrated before use.
4. To perform root cause analysis for tool quality issues.
5. To perform trouble shooting for electronic failure parts.
6. To perform measurement for mechanical failure parts.
7. To prepare, operate and maintain laboratory equipment for measurement, testing and trouble shooting.
8. Verification production part rejection to confirm it is supplier related issue for final disposition.
9. Coordinate evaluation run for improvement part and start up projects testing.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical / Electronics Engineering discipline from a recognized institution / college or professional institution.
Additional Information
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in related field is required
- Must have good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English. Able to communicate in Mandarin will be added advantage.
- Self-driven, ability to work independently and literacy in MS Office applications.
- Able to use basic measuring equipment such as caliper, multi-meter, height gauge & etc.
