Job Description Summary Reporting to the Head of Order Fulfillment, the role is expected to manage an operational support team as well as responsible to drive end to end Supply Chain excellence for BD in Greater Asia.
The GAR SSC Order Management / Master Data Manager is responsible for the management of the Order Management and Master Data functions within the GAR SSC. This includes leading the operations to:

  • Deliver operational and transactional processing services to the various entities and business units in accordance to the Service Level Agreement
  • Operate within methodologies and processes aligned to the Corporate SSC model
  • Meet performance and productivity goals
  • Development of the regional Supply Chain processes specific to Order Management and Master Data.
  • Implement continuous improvement
  • Provides guidance and support on best practices and process harmonization / alignment while ensuring that BD continues to be externally and customer focused
  • Comply with relevant Regulatory requirements eg SOX, GDPMDS, ISO
Job Description Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Order Management operations, namely order processing, pricing validation, backorder management, discrepancy management and service/contract billings, with additional processes to be included as required
  • Lead and manage the Master Data Shared Service operations, namely processing, validation and discrepancy management for Customer and Material Master
  • Recruit, train, develop and manage a process team to achieve individual and team objectives
  • Maintain good working relationships with distributors/end customers, internal stakeholders and other SSC teams
  • Conduct Customer/Distributor Surveys as required
  • Conduct regular meetings with Key Stakeholders eg Countries, Business to update on performance and obtain feedback
  • Escalate delays as appropriate
  • Lead and participate in projects to devise and coordinate strategies on supply chain architecture, standardize policies, procedures and processes across programs and operational units
  • Design and monitor customer metrics and performance indicators to control operational cost and quality
  • Review and analyze business processes, procedures, and systems to identify risks and priorities for Supply Chain continuous improvement. This includes benchmarking exercises
  • Benchmark, understand and implement latest technology that will benefit BD.
  • Owns the cost center budget
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLA) are up to date.
  • Supports talent development , people engagement, training plan and upscale GAR SSC associate skillset
  • Collaborate with Director of Supply Chain Optimization (SCM) and GAR SSC Director, other SSC/ Supply Chain teams and other stakeholders to develop and implement realistic short term and long term solutions
  • Conduct Compliance audits and training as required
  • Comply with ISO13485 requirements (for Order Management) and BD Policies
  • Ensure a safe, healthy and environmentally friendly workplace by observing Company’s rules and procedures.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned.
