During the oil tanker berthing operation, the Mooring Assistant assists the Mooring Master in the single point mooring operation at the bow and stern of the tanker. The bow assistant is responsible for directing the tanker's crew and communicating with the single point mooring personnel to connect the single point mooring hawser. The stern assistant is responsible for communicating with the workboat and directing the tanker's crew to connect the workboat's towline at the stern. The Mooring Assistant is also responsible for directing the connection of the offshore hose. During crude oil offloading, the assistant assists the Mooring Master in monitoring the operation and communicating with the single point mooring team to promptly address any risks that may arise. During departure, the assistant assists the Mooring Master in directing the tanker's crew to remove the offshore hose and release the mooring hawser and workboat towline. The Mooring Assistant, along with the Mooring Master, is responsible for the daily maintenance of the single point mooring equipment. The Mooring Assistant must have experience working as a Second Mate or higher position on board and be able to communicate in English with the offshore oil tanker.

All personnel must be under 47 years of age, have at least 3 years of relevant work experience, Good communication in English, and preferably be able to speak some Chinese.
