We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator for our Far East operations to be based at our Kuala Lumpur office.
The role will manage all logistical operations within the Far East region; be the focal point for logistic matters; build intercompany relationships with global logistic teams; manage tool and maintenance inventory to ensure that neither interrupts business; manage satellite logistical matters.
Main Activities & Responsibilities:
- Set up shipping to and from locations (International, local, for jobs, or inventory shipments)
- Create purchase requisitions for maintenance items and upcoming jobs
- Create purchase orders/Manage all third-party orders considering price, quality, and delivery
- Coordinate goods-in receipt of items delivered to Interwell/ Create and file Goods Received Notes (GRN)
- Complete redress/rebuild of tools in IFS
- Send and receive jobs in IFS/ Create and file delivery notes (DLN)
- Register equipment/parts in and out
- Arrange for and book transportation for equipment shipment
- Create commercial invoices
- Order from Norway - a single point of contact
- Liaise with the workshop to perform stock take x3 per year
- Manage certification of workshop equipment
- Provide KPI statistics if required
- Adhere to local shipping laws
- Responsible for Far East Operations
- Responsible for communicating with freight forwards and customs brokers
- Adhere to local and external relevant health & safety laws and policies
- Attend training and / to develop relevant knowledge and skills
- Schedule and coordinate periodic cycle and full inventory counts
- Travel as necessary to fulfill job duties
Team Activities:
- Participate in internal and/or external QA & HSE meetings
- Attend internal meetings as required
Requirements:
- Minimum diploma above or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or similar disciplines
- Detail oriented
- Proven experience as a logistics coordinator for Malaysia and Indonesia
- Logistics experience in ASEAN is an added advantage
- Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
- Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP)
- Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
