The opportunity

Your key responsibilities

• Involve in the timely preparation and submission of individual/group audited financial statements, management reports, corporate income tax returns and other internal and external reporting in accordance with the relevant accounting and tax standards and Company policies
• Plan and maintain accounting activities for month end, quarter end and year end closing by adhering to timeline and ensure completeness and accurate maintenance of accounting records.
• Monitor and manage all taxes (direct and indirect) periodic submissions, filings, payment and notices as raised
• Support and assist to response on all tax (direct & indirect) queries, tax assessments and notices, identify potential tax risk/issue and drive on the mitigation plan
• Support relevant stakeholders request and reporting, such as coordinate with auditors, tax preparers, other business units, banks representative, government agencies and statutory bodies.
• Support, liaise and work with impacted parties on the implementation in response to new statutory & tax regulations.
• Provide support to general activities such as data mapping and cleansing and assist with training (if any).

To qualify for the role you must have

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in deep functional operations within one or more Finance functions
• Proficiency with basic MS applications ie. Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Flexibility to undertake secondment at client’s premise, and open to a contractual employment arrangement

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience in SAP system implementation and business process transformation is an added advantage
