Under broad supervision performs diverse and specialized analytical functions. Performs duties involving the interpretation of international trade regulations for multiple countries. Assesses business risk in relation to import and export business transactions. Communicates directly with government agencies, forwarders, brokers, engineers and subject matter experts. Applies for export and import license authorizations on behalf of the company. Files status reports to various government agencies. Acts as an administrator for the company's export and import licenses. Is proficient in the use of SAP. Must have sufficient knowledge of the company's products in order to assign export and import classification numbers. This person is empowered to block any order transaction that is not in compliance with the company's internal control program. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience. (3-5 years) experience in trade compliance, government regulations, customs, supply chain, manufacturing, procurement or logistics.
