The incumbent is responsible to lead and manage the region Agency Force to achieve the overall productivity, profitability and quality targeted by the Company. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Regional Budget

  • Work closely with Agency Leaders and prepared an annual strategic action plan.
2. Agency Management
  • Provide a formal platform for Company to disseminate information and receive feedback from agency members during agency meetings. Agency meetings can be an individual or group basis with agent and/or leader.
  • Monitor and supervise agency strategic action plan on 5 KRAs – on the progress and control measures implemented.
  • Attend to any doubts, concerns and problem faced by agency members and to provide solution to overcome the problem.
  • Provide guidance and counseling to agency members violating Company/Industry/Regulator’s guidelines and carry out the guidelines among agency members.
  • Organize, plan and launch agency, regional or Company’s campaign, events, challenges, contest or promotion to agency members.
  • Provide agency members a formal platform for inter-action and team working through group meetings and gatherings.
3. Training and Development
  • Evaluate and identify Agency training and development needs in agency knowledge, skill, attitude and habit to improve agency productivity and professionalism.
  • To liaise with LEAD/RDE/Special Project Co-ordinates and implement training and development programs for agency.
  • To organize, plan and implement training and development programs for agency.
  • To promote and encourage agency members to attend other Company/Industry’s training/development programs whenever available or necessary.
  • To promote and encourage agency members to attend programs as part of their self-development exercise through self-study etc.
4. Manpower Growth
  • Assist the DOA/ADOA in promoting Quality Recruitment Drive within own region.
  • Working hand in hand with agencies force for their ABYB (Agency Build Your Business)
  • Install and promote Mentoring Program within the region to ensure development of quality leaders in their regions.
  • Continuously encourage Agency Leaders to focus on recruiting and train-up agents for promotion to be future agency leaders.
  • Organize and implement Grand Business Opportunity Presentation (GBOP) as the major recruitment drive for new agents.
  • Organize and implement PRU Rising Stars, Welcoming Party to develop and retain new QAs in our Company.
  • Keep pushing and motivate the agencies force to be activated monthly.
  • Closely monitor the productivity agencies force to produce more after activated.
  • Plan, organize and form Aspiring Unit Manager (AUM) Club to encourage and prepare QA for promotion to UM position.
  • Co-ordinate and interview QA who intends to apply for UM position.
  • Co-ordinate and execute plan for maintenance of agency contracts.
Sales Development
  • Monitor and supervise agency strategic action plans on KPIs.
  • Attend to any agency doubts, concerns and problem faced by agency members and to provide solution to overcome the problem.
  • Provide guidance and counseling to agency members violating Company/ Industry/Regulatory guidelines and to enforce the prescribed guidelines among agency members.
  • Provide additional motivation for agency members to raise agency morale.
  • Continuously encourage agency members to focus on recruiting new agents.
  • Encourage Agency Leaders to train-up agents for promotion to be future leaders.
Customer Service Development
  • Participate in all identified core-customer service programs to update of product and system knowledge.
  • Work closely with and support branch staff in identifying root causes/trends of customer service issues and coming up with solution to resolve it.
People Development
  • Implement Core-Program to encourage new agents to do well and retain them in our Company.
  • Ensure that training rooms, training centers and other training facilities & equipment in the respective region are properly maintained in tip top condition.
  • Provide quality training and supporting services to the agency force to upgrade one’s skill and performance.
Communication & Organization Development
  • Provide a formal platform to disseminate information and receive feedback from agency members during agency meetings.
  • Assist and support all launches and events.
  • Communicate and motivate by promoting Agency, Regional or PAMB’s challenges, incentives and contest to the Agency.
  • Organize and implement formal platform for interaction of agency members and building teamwork through group meetings and gatherings.
  • Submit weekly planning and monthly reports.
Job Specification:
  • Degree / Diploma in any discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in business development, marketing or sales.
  • Experience in agency development will be an added advantage.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills.
  • A self-starter with pleasant personality and service-oriented work perspective.
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work under minimum supervision.
  • Good command of English and Malay - written and spoken.
  • Must be meticulous with the ability to work under pressure.
