SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Quality Control Analyst shall be responsible for conducting tests to determine quality of rice, bulk intermediate and finished products. The duties include, but not limited to, conduct routine and non-routine analysis of in-process rice, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples.

DETAILED LISTING OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ensure that lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.

· Perform visual inspections of finished products.

· Calibrate, validate, or maintain laboratory equipment.

· Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality

· Serve as a technical liaison between quality control and other departments, vendors, or contractors.

· Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms.

· Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities

· Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues

· Analyse data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.

· Performing routine inspections and quality tests.

· Identifying and resolving workflow and production issues.

· Ensuring that standards and safety regulations are observed.

· Draft quality assurance policies and procedures

· Evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards

· Conducting routine and non-routine analyses of in-process rice, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples.

· Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data

· Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems.

Qualifications and experience requirements for the position:

· OND, NCE, HND or B.Sc. in any related field or any other related professional qualification.

· 2 to 5 years working experiences in a Rice mill Industry

Other requirements, abilities for the position:

· Good communication and interpersonal skills;

· Working well within a team

· Ability to multitask

· Ability to independently develop standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for routine analysis of products (e.g. basic panels – protein, moisture, carbohydrate, ash, etc.)
