Overview

A global hospitality chain with a presence in over 25 countries is looking to hire a Waiter who will greet and seat the guests, take the orders, serve them properly, and watch to see if the guests need anything. He/she clears guests' tables and keeps checking on guests to make sure they are happy.

What you will be doing:

  • Follow all policies and procedures as mentioned in the Orientation manual
  • Be committed to implement service standards (service sequences) and understand that these have been developed to maintain a consistent brand image.
  • Ensuring a high standard of personal grooming and hygiene and maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
  • Completing all established set-up duties on time as well as following restaurant opening & closing procedures.
  • Constantly checking the overall cleanliness and tidiness of the work area, especially his/her section.
  • Being part of any shift briefing and ensuring a smooth transition and handover between shifts without disturbing the guest.
  • Communicating with management in regard to menu changes throughout service.
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed as mentioned in the Orientation Manual
  • Be committed to implementing service standards (service sequences) understanding that these have been developed to maintain a consistent brand image.
  • Taking food, wine, and beverage orders as well as always suggesting specialties using appropriate selling techniques.
  • Serving food, wine, and beverages to the guests.
  • Clearing his/her tables (during and after service)
  • Cleaning and replenishing condiments and guest's supplies
  • Reporting regular guests and transmitting feedback to the supervisors or management from what he heard from the customers (for example, quality of food, taste, or freshness of ingredients..).
  • Helping the guests as much as possible.

What we are looking for:

  • A Bachelor's or equivalent in hotel/restaurant management or technical hostelry is desirable.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the food service industry with at least 6 months in a Waiter position
  • Very good knowledge of food & beverage products.
  • Great skills in guest relations and teamwork spirit
  • Ability to operate a POS System and CCM
  • Good organizational skills.
  • The technical skill to easily communicate in both: English and Arabic as well as French is a plus.

Working days - Six days a week with one day off

Salary - 60000 Naira

Location - Victoria Island

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₦60,000.00 per month
