Job Summary:

A reputable agribusiness in Iwo, Osun state seeks to employ a Junior Accountant with good accounting knowledge to assist with various accounting and finance tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or entry-level professional to gain exposure and develop his/her skills in an engaging and growth-driven work environment. The desired candidate must have a strong work ethic and, a willingness to learn and collaborate in a team. Also, the preferred candidate should reside in Iwo, Osun State, or be willing to relocate, if need be.

Key Accountabilities:

• Raise and post payment vouchers and filing of same with supporting documents
• Collate vendors’ bills from Purchase Orders, Waybills, Invoices, and other relevant documents.
• Post all purchase invoices to supplier’s Ledgers.
• Assist with the Reconciliation of Accounts Payables.
• Reconciliation of Staff Cash advances and IOU.
• Assist with the Preparation of Monthly Payroll.
• Maintain Fixed Assets Register and ensure proper documentation of all CAPEX.
• Maintain Cheque Register for all incoming and outgoing cheques together with Transfer Instructions.
• Receipt, disbursement, and posting of petty cash after appropriate approval.
• Banking of cash receipts and customers’ cheques.
• Daily Reconciliation of cash position with physical cash balance.
• Daily Reconciliation of Sales reports with Sales Clerks and Officers.
• Reconciliation of inter-unit Stock transfers with consumption and usage.
• Participate in monthly or surprise Stock Take Exercise.
• Payment of bills, recording, accounting for receipts, and maintaining records of all transactions.
• Any other role may be considered necessary by the Head of the Department.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and accounting standards

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of HND in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Student of ICAN is an added advantage
• Relevant internship or entry-level experience in Accounting

Remuneration and Other important information:

• Salary is N80,000 (net) monthly.
• Accommodation is available in a serene and secure environment if the selected candidate resides outside Iwo town.
• Must be willing to relocate to job location, if required.
