Role: Video Editor

Job Location: Remote

Overview: Join Busha as an in-house videographer/editor, where your passion for content and a proven track record in video content production will help propel our company to new heights. As the Video Editor at Busha, you’ll work closely with the Digital Content Producer to ideate and execute top-notch video content ideas. Ultimately, you will be responsible for bringing video, sound and graphic elements together to tell a cohesive story.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Digital Content Producer to develop and execute creative video content ideas.
• Shoot and edit videos to increase content engagement and reach.
• Work with the marketing team to develop and execute content ideas for education and engagement.
• Be available to create video content at company events and hangouts.
• Shoot, manipulate and edit film pieces to tell a story
• Understand production brief and specifications
• Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
• Create rough and final video cuts
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of videos
• Consult with relevant parties from production to the post-production process
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximise efficiency.

Candidate Must Have;

• 3-5 years' proven work experience as a video editor
• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
• Demonstrate video editing ability with a strong portfolio
• Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
• Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
• Creative mind and storytelling skills

Nice to Haves;

• Exceptional time management and independent work skills
• BS degree in film studies, cinematography or related field
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while meeting benchmarks
• Prior experience working with a team
