CyberSoc Security Analyst
Location Utrecht
As a Security Analyst you are responsible for the detection, investigation, and defense against cyber attacks. In the CyberSOC of Orange Cyberdefense Netherlands you will work with Europe's leading experts in the field of IT Security and use the latest technologies to analyze potential security incidents. You are an important link in our services and an integrated part of our team.
You will be part of the Security Analysts team in our CyberSOC. You work with several colleagues at different locations, including the Netherlands and Sweden. In the Netherlands you work with 7 colleagues in different roles, including Managed SIEM and Security Analysts.
Your tasks include:
- You ensure that customer environments are always protected against cyber attacks
- monitoring alarms generated by SIEM tools, endpoint protection tools, network anomaly detection tools, etc. by performing in-depth analyses
- escalating relevant threats to customers and advising based on these threats
- detecting anomalies and attack patterns along the entire cyber-kill chain as described by MITRE ATT&CK
- supporting our customers during a security incident and ensuring an effective defense against attacks
- continuous development of improvements and detection methods to optimize detections
- managing onboarding projects for new customers
- report monthly on the status of customer environments
Why are we talking to you?
- Completed training in computer science or similar, with a focus on security
- Good knowledge of Windows and Linux, networks, firewalls and tools for endpoint protection
- Several years of experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS / IPS, sandbox, honeypot, endpoint protection etc.)
- Professional experience in pen testing, incident detection, incident response, or malware analysis is a plus
- Certifications such as CySA+, CND, CEH, OSCP, Splunk Power User and SANS are a plus
- Solution-oriented and analytical mindset
- Mastery of the English language in word and writing
