Are you ready to be creative? Are you able to understand the target audience and communicate this efficiently through text? As a copy writer you will be able to create concept and develop messaging on our website and apps. Join our content and design team at the headquarters in Rotterdam (NL) or Zellik (BE).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the rich content copy across all MediaMarkt websites and apps, reviewing and improving supplier briefs, agency work as well as visual asset texts
• Collaborating with external and internal stakeholders in order to maintain unique tone-of-voice consistency on every digital channel
• Build a thorough understanding of the MediaMarkt story – our heritage, our philosophy, and how we talk about ourselves/our suppliers
• A good understanding of MediaMarkt’s USP’s, and how/where effectively communicate on those unique services/products on our websites/app
• Contribute to the overall MediaMarkt tone of voice, writing copy, based on SEO principles (Implement Search Engine Optimization best practices in all copy created to maximize reach to our target audience), considering customer expectations, as well as commercial needs
• Supporting other teams (such as CRM, Social Media) in order to ensure the same content/marketing approach on every channel to our customer
• Take responsibility for the basics – grammar, spellchecking, and proofing work prior to production
• Review the website copy to identify areas for improvements
• Proof-read all online content before publishing
• Present work to brief stakeholders – articulating ideas and confidently defending proposals with reasoned and evidenced arguments

• Being able to write/speak in English and Dutch fluently

Your Profile

• Minimum 2-4 years of working experience in content creation, copywriting experience
• Exceptional writing and research skills
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, english literature or business management or equivalent
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams to meet deadlines,
• Impeccable organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft word, powerpoint, excel and adobe photoshop would be considered a plus
