Responsibilities:
- Uses cutting-edge data science combined with foresight methods to map trends in innovation systems.
- Understands the technology road maps to work out the scouting direction.
- Evaluates the benefits of emerging technologies balanced against potential risks.
- Identifies early stage trends, technologies and ideas set to shape the years to come.
- Analyze the qualitative research for innovation, that combines data science and strategic foresight.
- Supporting the scoping and delivery of Sappi’s exploratory inquiries into the frontiers of our objectives, focusing on the impact of emerging technologies.
- Reporting on emerging technologies and future trends, analyzing the possible implications from the perspective of the business innovation strategy.
- Supporting colleagues in other teams to explore the future applications of emerging technologies and other trends for their work.
- Accelerates external Innovation with companies, start-ups, universities, institutes, technology providers, equipment suppliers by identifying and assessing opportunities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or Material Sciences.
- Advanced Report writing experience
Preferred Requirements:
- Expertise in paper or pulp technology, at least in Chemistry.
- 2-3 years in a similar role and or environment
- Experience in patent searches, freedom to operate analysis.
- Reside within the similar time zone to CET
- Engineering Diploma
- Experience in process automatization
