You are responsible for the trade optimization of our Eneco group wide energy portfolios and wholesale trading activities in all countries including sourcing and pricing for customer supply in all countries. The team consists of traders and a Trade Analysis team

Main strategic goals out of Eneco Group Business plan: weather and merchant Risk Management, maximization of Energy integration potential of Eneco Assets and Customer portfolio and maximization of ABT profits

Is this about you?

You work together as one team to deliver the plan. In doing so, you are proactive in helping each other to accelerate the energy transition. You create an environment where you can exchange insights and opinions with colleagues and you take responsibility for contributing to the joint plan. In addition, you hold the following qualities:

  • At least a completed a university level (WO) education, with excellent results;
  • At least 10 years experience in Commodity Trading at a reputable Trading or Utility company.
  • Experience in managing a trading desk or trade group.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, backed up with knowledge and experience in modelling and creating compelling presentations
  • Organizational sensitivity, persuasiveness, execution power and interpersonal skills, with the belief that impact only lasts if achieved together;
  • Passion for the energy transition and preferably experience in the energy sector.
You’ll be responsible for
  • Determining the strategic direction of our portfolio management and trading activities and participating in determining the direction of other departments.
  • Managing P&L: The Head of Trading is responsible for the trading P&L and future MtM of the trading activities and responsible for managing the risk associated with the portfolio (hedging strategy, swaps, financial deals, etc.)

  • Close cooperation with other departments of Energy Integration and of Eneco (CO, S&W, H&I) and with the Management Board.
  • Medium and long-term vision with respect to the energy transition and the associated opportunities/threats.
