Job Purpose
We are looking to hire a Junior Asset Manager into our Amsterdam office. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to pursue a long-term career in Real Estate Investment Management. The main purpose of the role will be to assist the Dutch asset management and transaction teams.
Role Responsibilities
The candidate will form part of the Dutch transaction and asset management team that has a primary role to manage and transact retail, residential, offices and logistic assets.
Responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Provide support to the asset management and transaction teams
- Analyse and advise during contract negotiations on how to maximise the value of those contracts
- Assist the asset manager in developing the long range plan by determining strategy and targets of business units together with middle management and by creating/managing the financial models
- Assist in the preparation of subscriber analysis and reports for budget, long range planning and reforecast exercises, which include new sales, churn and net growth per affiliate
- Execute market research, market analysis and benchmarking studies
- Develop and execute business plans, valuations and presentations for existing and potential new businesses
- Work with the asset/transaction managers to Improve existing or create new models used in everyday operations, as required/requested by the business
- Translate findings and recommendations into presentations for (senior) management
Person Specification
- Fluent in Dutch with an excellent level of English
- Knowledge of the Real Estate industry is not essential but is preferred
- Able to interact with people at all levels, including senior management
- Strong organisational and operational skills, able to plan effectively, anticipate issues and solve problems
- Ability to cope with high pressure assignments and used to meeting strict deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy
- Ambitious team player who is pro-active and also able to work independently (self-starter).
- Computer literate: MS Office (excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills
