Manages and leads teams to meet the scope, quality, time, and budget framework. Responsible for team and people management. Manages stakeholder expectations and relationships, and provides visibility of the project status regularly. Responsible for all operational activities, defining priorities, and setting the process and standards (governance). Ensures smooth operation.

What will your job look like?
  • Ensure that the team meets scope, quality, time, and budget targets. Accountable for project planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, and achievement of the targets set for the project. Accountable and responsible for the delivery of the scope within the agreed level of quality, timeframe, budget, and other agreed KPIs/SLAs.
  • Attract, develop, and retain talent to build and maintain an effective team. Encourage teamwork, motivate, inspire, and act with ethical standards. Responsible for recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, development/training, growth of the team and team members, and overall employee care. Lead the team by example and serve as a role model.
  • Predict risks (quality, timeline, and budget) regularly, and take necessary mitigation measures that lead to high-quality production, stable BAU, and predictable operations. Lead continuous improvement, root cause analysis, lesson learned, and prevention processes.
  • Ensure that SLAs for key parameters are monitored and met.
  • Manage relationships efficiently and communicate with key stakeholders to ensure that production support is not only aligned with the customer requirements but also adds value to their business. Keep immediate and matrix managers updated with the risks, mitigations, and status of the projects on a weekly basis, and avoid surprises. Strive to have strong and healthy working relationships with the team and partnerships with all relevant stakeholders from other Amdocs and customer units.
  • Communicate effectively with the project team on a weekly basis regarding all project matters, company-wide changes, special initiative statuses, and so on. Use communication tools effectively as the situation demands (phone, VC, team meetings, one-on-one meetings, and so on).
  • Display in-depth technical, hands-on knowledge of the operation systems, serve as a professional authority, and lead the team during a crisis.
  • Process engineering, Product engineeringPromote innovation/Kaizen principles in project processes and deliverables. Set up foundation practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Prioritize activities (self, team, external). Understand and implement reuse of best practices and follow up on them. Motivate the team to strive for excellence by setting and achieving ambitious but reasonable goals. Responsible for smooth/error-free operation using a range of tools.
  • Plan the implementation process to mitigate the impact of differences between the future and current state, and be part of the PRR committee. Support the execution of plans with related employees, managers, and business leaders, analyze failed CCs, and implement lessons learned. Serve as a gatekeeper for all production changes, oversee scheduled changes in production/operation, and attend change control meetings. Ensure production readiness for new releases (part of the approval chain of the PRR committee). Own the monitoring (planning, requirements, analyzing, defining levels, and so on).

  • Work in production/operation as a group leader or shift manager, or equivalent role.
  • Total industry experience of 9+ years.
