Adviser - Balance Sheet Design

Lead the delivery of influential advice and insights to assist the management of our balance sheet and the formulation of monetary and financial policy Te tūranga - The role In this key role you will provide technical leadership on the future of our balance sheet. You will lead key strategic initiatives on behalf of the team and the wider Financial Market's Department. You will work across teams and departments to deliver research and strategic advice on a range of priority areas. You will actively cultivate strong external networks to develop effective dialogue with stakeholders. You will support the Manager to organise the team's output, coach and develop less-experienced staff, and build the team's expertise. Ō pūkenga - About you You're passionate about the contribution you can make to New Zealand's economic wellbeing, you have a strong blend of people and technical leadership, and with your collaborative and engaging approach you are able to guide and mentor others to achieve success. You'll bring to the role:

  • A strong analytical background and an understanding of financial markets and their interaction with the economy
  • Extensive practical experience in an applied economics or financial markets environment
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills with the ability to influence
