Within each faculty, Facilities Coordinators work to ensure our buildings provide safe and effective spaces to work, learn, study and research. We are seeking an energetic, efficient and highly organised individual who enjoys physical work, to join our Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries, Facilities and Services team.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Ensuring staff and students are provided with suitable facilities and equipment within offices, teaching and social spaces
  • Ensuring that all spaces and equipment are well-managed and prepared for in-advance for teaching and learnings and other events as required
  • Ensure building compliance standards and health and safety requirements are followed
  • Assist in the management of student and staff building-access cards and keys through on-line systems

This role, alongside other the members of the Facilities and Services team, is integral to the efficient functioning of the faculty, its facilities, equipment and buildings. This role helps to ensure they are fully operational and to quickly problem-solve issues if they occur. This will include liaising with other internal and external service providers to enable cleaning, maintenance, repairs, moving and logistics.

You will be required to drive a van as needed and its general upkeep, to deliver materials, furniture and equipment within the faculty surrounds.

This is a full-time, 37.5 hours per week, permanent position. The salary range for this role is $49,300 - $62,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

No previous experience is required, just a good attitude and willingness to learn. Your biggest assets in this role, is the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, planning work and projects ahead of time, and building strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders. In addition, ideal candidate will have:

  • Good computing skills and ability to work with common office productivity tools and corporate systems
  • Be highly organised and very self-motivated, in order to plan tasks and meet deadlines
  • Be able to prioritise work and shift focus appropriately to ensure urgent matters are attended to quickly and effectively
  • Have an understanding of health and safety in the workplace and ensure this is a key priority in all daily operations of this role
