Our team at Sunset care home in Blockhouse Bay are currently on the lookout for a part time van driver to help transport our residents as part of their activities programme and as required.
Key Task and Responsibilities
- Assist with loading residents safely into van.
- Transport residents to planned location as per Activities programme.
- Work as part of the team under the guidance and direction of the Activities team on any outings.
- Ensure privacy, respect and dignity is given to all residents.
- Operate the vehicle in a manner ensuring the welfare and safety of passengers at all times.
- Operate the vehicle in a manner that complies with all traffic laws.

A full Drivers Licence is essential. Must be current, clean and free of endorsements. - A Defensive Driving certificate would be useful
- A current First Aid certificate is essential. (Or, we can organise training for this once employed
