About the role
As a forklift operator you will be responsible for safely loading and unloading delivery trucks, pick-packing orders and providing support across the timber yard team.
Based at our Porirua branch, your role is all about providing timely customer service by identifying the right products quickly and efficiently while ensuring a seamless Carters experience for our trade customers.
Skills & Experience
A full NZ Driver Licence is essential for this role, ideally F Endorsed or a forklift licence. A Class 2 licence holder has the opportunity to be trained as a back-up delivery driver with a career pathway to becoming a Hiab driver.
The ideal candidate will have commitment to outstanding customer service and support and have the following skills and qualities:
- A team player with the right attitude. You bring an approachable and helpful attitude, and a willingness to lend a hand and attention to detail, making sure our customers receive the correct products.
- A real people person. You have a natural talent for building trust and rapport with our customers.
- Basic tech skills.Knowledge of computer systems and basic operating skills.
- Physically fit. For heavy lifting and the physical aspects of being on the go.
- Types of licences. Full NZ Driver Licence. Forklift (F endorsed) desirable
