About us

The Intelligence Directorate plans and conducts GCSB intelligence activities in accordance with agreed Government policy and requirements, and coordinates SIGINT assets to meet national requirements. The Intelligence Directorate Business Unit (IDBU) works directly with the Deputy Director-General Intelligence to coordinate key business activity and facilitate the directorate's non-operational support functions.

About the role

The Business Coordinator provides high quality administrative support to the Directorate's leadership team, specifically the Deputy Director-General Intelligence. This includes diary management, secretariat services, and coordination of key leadership and directorate-wide events. The role works directly with the Directorate Business Manager to coordinate key business activity on an annual basis and provide the highest level of support to the Directorate whilst meeting corporate requirements.

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.

You must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance. Ordinarily to obtain this level of clearance candidates must have a 15 year checkable background in countries where meaningful and reliable checks can be undertaken. Where requisite checks are unable to be made, the candidate application may not be able to be progressed.
