Reporting to the Head of Product and Process Development and based in the Christchurch Head Office, this role is responsible for developing new and existing product polymer formulations, analytical methods and test processes in support of ongoing process development projects. You will also test new material chemical compositions to improve productivity and performance, ensure regulatory requirements are met, assist the factory with problem solving and support the quality team with formulation specific knowledge. Routine testing, measurements and related laboratory functions are requirements, along with supplier and external group liaison. This role also supports the manufacturing team by providing technical assistance to ensure processes are optimised and cost effective methods established, whilst minimising any environmental impact.


To be successful in this role you will have a Chemistry or Chemical Engineering qualification with previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. You will demonstrate a good understanding of material and chemical formulations and regulatory requirements, with laboratory testing and data recording experience. Project management experience, a structured approach to problem solving and a collaborative approach will help you achieve in this role.

- Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 NZD
  • Minimum 40 hours per week (Full-time)
