Brief Description:

LEONZ Ltd is a New Zealand owned, facility and engineering maintenance and services company, specializing in vast majority of facility maintenance work, mechanical and machinery services, installation, removal, repair/service and preventative maintenance work across West Auckland area. The company is experiencing a slight growth in the number and size of the contractual work post COVID and therefore the company is looking for two handymen position to handle the potential work load.

About the Role:

You will be reporting directly to the director for day to day workload distribution. The company will supply all necessary professional tools and equipment, but there is a list of personal hand tools that we require you to prepare yourself. You will not be required to commute using your own vehicles but candidates with a valid full driver license is preferred. Your main task is to support the director in completing the work in and adhere to a high standard of health and safety. Your general responsibility is to problem solve a certain situation and provide the best possible solution in the area of general maintenance and repairs. Majority of our clients are factory/storage based facility, HVAC system maintenance, while there are some residential projects, dealing with deck/fence/barn gates building/removal/refurbish, general housing maintenance, driveway/housing pavement etc.

Successful candidate will require to have:

• 
  Vast knowledge and ability to use different hand tools and trade skills are highly regarded
• Previous maintenance experience also high desirable
• Diligent and adhere to strict health and safety protocols
• Great craftsmanship and friendly attitude
• Ability to work independently and with co-workers
• Be physically fit with high standard of presentation and grooming
• Having a driver license is highly preferable
• Multilingual especially Chinese/Mandarin is highly regarded but not necessary
• Ability to multitask
• Available to work flexible shift including morning, afternoon until 7pm, weekends and/or public holiday
• Requirement to pass a Criminal Convictions Check performed by MOJ

Job Description:

• Adjust/replace/repair defective fittings/fixtures/chattels around the premises
• Ensure all scheduled/preventative/general maintenance be carried out in time and using proper tools and equipment
• Cleaning after every job, keeping the work area tidy and organized
• Safe storage practice, particularly the safe storage of dangerous/corrosive/explosive materials
• Experienced of working outdoors in a variety of climates and with high regards to personal safety
• Keep a dairy log of work if necessary
• Honest and trustworthy
• Take pride in your own work and keep a high standard of workmanship

Job type : Permanent full time

Salary range: Annual from NZD 45000 to 50000
